The 3 Masters, from a stressed out grad student

Yes, I am jealous of anyone who is able to train fulltime, atleast twice a day.

My three masters- Work, Thesis, and Weightlifting. A few months ago, I was fulltime focused on my Thesis, which gave me the flexibility to arrange my Thesis hours and work out times in harmony. Not to mention, the synergistic relationship between my Thesis and weightlifting. Now, I'm back to the corporate world.. doing all 3 at once. Again. I love all 3 and its TAXING.

Interestingly, there is a clear correlation between bodyweight (weight loss), back squat , and lifts. So, we can't consider sport performance only in one dimension. Environment is as much a factor (see earlier post on systems dynamics model in MArch 2010).

One way or another, I will submit my Thesis in the next few days. It will be an awesome 100+ page paper, I will be done, and I will retire a master.

So, is this the universe telling me just to focus on one thing? Focus on Work only, Academics only, or Weightlifting only.

Nahhh. There will be a big upswing in my biorythms once I'm back to just work and weightlifting. Have your cake and eat it!
