The Risto Trainers are a unique, lightweight, leather sneaker, with excellent traction. The shoe has specially designed sole and toebox for Crossfit WODs.
Here are the key features:
-Solid, flat rubber sole, great for non-maximal Olympic weightlifting, running, jumping, deadlifting
-Special gripping system on exterior for sole, great for outdoor WODs, running on wet or icy surfaces
-Specially reinforced toebox, great for burpees and push ups
-Light weight, great for doing muscle-ups, pull-ups, double unders, hand stands.
-Leather upper, giving you longer lasting shoe life. These shoes won't deteriorate as fast as the leading cloth shoes
When do you use these shoes:
- WOD's that have high repetition weights, any type of jumping, running, throwing, pull ups, muscle ups, kettelbells
When to use classic Olympic shoes (ie not these shoes):
- High intensity, low repetition snatches, clean and jerks, squats
- When doing exclusively weight WODs -- ie Grace
